Ministries

The word "ministry" comes from the Greek word diakoneo, meaning "to serve" or douleuo, meaning "to serve as a slave." Throughout the New Testament, ministry is seen as service to God and to other people in His name. Jesus provided the pattern for Christian ministry—He came, not to receive service, but to give it (see Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17).

As followers of Jesus Christ, our devotion to God should lead us to meet the needs of others with kindness and humility, and to work toward transforming the world into God's promised Kingdom.

Below you will find a number of opportunities to serve God by serving others. Some of the ministry opportunities listed here are aimed at encouraging and equipping those already in the church to reach out to those in secular society with the loving message of Jesus. Others are directed at helping those in need find what they are searching for.

Please take just a moment and explore which ministry God is calling you to participate in.
